The name dates back to 2000, when “Pine Barons” was a finalist before the team became the BlueClaws. A quarter-century later, that lost identity finally saw the field, honouring both the Silver Anniversary and the legendary New Jersey Pine Barrens. For one game, ShoreTown Ballpark became a portal to an alternate reality.
